Supplies

*Full Supply List Available After Purchase.

  • We will be working on mini canvases although you can use any size you want. Links to the ones I use will be on your supply list.

  • Assorted pens, markers, and paint pens.

  • We will be using acrylic paints for this course. Any will do, but I suggest at least a couple high quality paints in colors that you love.

  • Can't draw? No Worries. You will be provided a template of simple designs to use if you choose.

Holiday Ornament Happy Hour

Learn strategies you can apply towards your larger paintings!

Using acrylic paints, drawing material, and any combination of colors in your holiday theme, we will create a set of 3 or more sweet and whimsical holiday ornaments on canvas. Time will be spent discussing and demonstrating ways to add details that add depth and whimsy to your work.

  • Date & Time

    Replay of our October 7th, 2020 Zoom Class is now available! Join in at any time. PLUS get a BONUS process video!

  • Location

    You will have a set classroom on Jodi Ohl's workshop platform. The bulk of the class is from a recording of a zoom workshop. You can watch the replay and bonus videos time and time again. There is a Facebook Group to share pictures with your fellow students or ask questions from the instructor.

  • How long will I have access to this course? Is it downloadable?

    This class is not downloadable. This is a recorded live class. You will be able to watch the replay of the class for 13 months after purchase. A private Facebook Group has been created to share pictures with your fellow students and/or ask questions from the instructor. There is also a bonus video included of all the step outs. Students will be provided with a PDF of instructions to keep along with a template of designs to use if they so choose.

  • What supplies will I need?

    A detailed list will be available after your purchase in your workshop classroom. Basic acrylic paint supplies and mini canvases are the main supplies, but we do have a couple extra special items on our supply list for you to add to your ‘toolbox’ for the workshop.

  • What if I can't draw?

    Have no fear, whether you are a beginner or seasoned drawer, you will be more than fine in this course. Jodi will provide sketches/a template for you to use or to inspire you in your own drawing for this course. The theme for these ornaments are whimsical so the ‘wonkier’ the better!

Do I have to Create Holiday Ornaments?

You can do whatever you please!

While this class is officially titled "Holiday Ornament Happy Hour", these ornaments can be inspirational handmade treasures displayed all year long. The sky is the limit as far as designs go. Your instructor will showcase at least 3-4 different designs during the workshop and have others available on your PDF for you to draw on. Great mini works of art to give as gifts, keep for yourself, or sell at craft fairs all year long!
