About Sticks And Stones

In her latest addition to her online workshop offerings, Jodi Ohl will be taking students on a delightful journey of whimsical illustration and design using a water media approach to using acrylic paints, pens, and other drawing tools. The theme for this class is all about "Sticks and Stones" along with a variety of whimsical shapes and patterns. PLUS NEW finishing techniques that will level up your work in countless ways!

  • Sticks and Stones will encompass 4 main projects:  Stick piles, Rock Piles, a Combination of Sticks and Stones, and a larger abstract painting combining all of your favorite techniques.
  • 2 Zoom meetings for students joining in the opening of this class. The call will be recorded and available to all other students.
  • Learn fresh new techniques using acrylic paint in Jodi Ohl's signature Zen Painting style plus NEW finishing processes.
  • Private Facebook group for students to share project pictures, connect with other students and pose questions to the instructor.
  • Learn to create your own paint viscosity that will work for this project.
  • Would you like to be more playful and loose in your art?  This class features techniques that are partially balanced and controlled while exploring ways to loosen up and invite whimsy into your work!
  • Work at your own pace! While we do not advertise lifetime access, we do commit to long-term access, a minimum of 5 years barring any unforeseen circumstances. All efforts will be made to ensure students have ample time to review the class if something unexpected happens.

A Whole New World!

Suzanne H.

I love Jodi’s abstract paintings and wanted to take a class with her, but I wasn’t sure Sticks and Stones was my thing. Well… it’s my thing now! I loved this class! Jodi opened up a whole new style of painting for me. Her lessons are thorough, her enthusiasm for what she’s teaching is contagious, and Sticks & Stones is an all-around fun class. (And my friends have commented how much they like the works I’ve produced as a result of this class!) Thank you, Jodi! -Suzanne H.
